Abstract:Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a chronic and progressive inflammatory respiratory disorder with clinical manifestation of airflow limitation that is not ful y reversible. Inhaled bronchodilators and corticosteroid are major medications for COPD, but both cannot achieve great ef ect. It is found that inhaled bronchodilators plus corticosteroid and anticholinergic drugs can improve the decilne of lung function, but both cannot reduce mortality significantly. So there is a need to develop new treatment for COPD patients. This review focuses on the present state and advance in treatment of COPD.
